Courtney E. Martin is the author of four books and a popular newsletter, called “Examined Family.” She is also a cofounder of the Solutions Journalism Network, FRESH Speakers, and the Bay Area chapter of Integrated Schools, as well as the Storyteller-in-Residence at the Holding Co. Her literal happy place is her cohousing community in Oakland, California. Her metaphorical happy place is asking people questions.
